FEATURE FILM BACKGROUND OPPORTUNITIES IN ST LOUIS, MO.

No experience is necessary.

Background actors help bring movies to life by creating the world around the principal actors. No prior acting experience is required. We welcome all types, age 18+, and all ethnicities.

Most background performers work one day on set, however some may be booked for multiple days depending on production needs. Film days are often long, typically 12–13 hours, and background performers must be available for the entire work day for continuity purposes.

To be considered for these and future projects, please fill out our extras database form and upload:

One current facial photo (frame from mid chest to top of head)
One current full-length photo (frame from head to toe)
Please take the photos on the day you complete the form and do not use filters.

If you signed up for our database last year (2025), you do not need to fill out the form again unless your appearance has changed significantly or you would like to update your photos and information.  We will delete your 2025 information, if we see you signed up again in 2026 .

If you experience any issues with the database, please contact assistant@JoniTacketteCasting.net

If selected, we’ll contact you 3–4 days in advance to check your availability for a specific date. Please note that signing up for the database does not guarantee work. We contact performers only when a project needs someone matching their look, age, skills, or availability.

Once in the database, you will be considered for future opportunities as well.
